11: They wondered what the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ's suffering and his great glory afterward. They wondered when and to whom all this would happen.
Isaiah 52:13

- "After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple. The end will come with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end.
Romans 8:9
- But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.)
Isaiah 53:1

Daniel 2:34

- The whole statue collapsed into a heap of iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold. The pieces were crushed as small as chaff on a threshing floor, and the wind blew them all away without a trace. But the rock that knocked the statue down became a great mountain that covered the whole earth.
Psalms 110:1

Luke 24:25
- Then Jesus said to them, "You are such foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.
- Wasn't it clearly predicted by the prophets that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his time of glory?"
- Then Jesus quoted passages from the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining what all the Scriptures said about himself.
Psalms 69:30
- Then I will praise God's name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.
- For this will please the LORD more than sacrificing an ox or presenting a bull with its horns and hooves.
- The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God's help live in joy.
- For the LORD hears the cries of his needy ones; he does not despise his people who are oppressed.
- Praise him, O heaven and earth, the seas and all that move in them.
1 Peter 3:18
- Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

- "During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed; no one will ever conquer it. It will shatter all these kingdoms into nothingness, but it will stand forever.

- Here is another message that came to me from the LORD Almighty.
- "This is what the LORD Almighty says: The traditional fasts and times of mourning you have kept in early summer, midsummer, autumn, and winter are now ended. They will become festivals of joy and celebration for the people of Judah. So love truth and peace.
- "This is what the LORD Almighty says: People from nations and cities around the world will travel to Jerusalem.
- The people of one city will say to the people in another, `Let us go to Jerusalem to ask the LORD to bless us and to seek the LORD Almighty. We are planning to go ourselves.'
Psalms 88:1
- O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out to you day and night.
- Now hear my prayer; listen to my cry.
- For my life is full of troubles, and death draws near.
- I have been dismissed as one who is dead, like a strong man with no strength left.
- They have abandoned me to death, and I am as good as dead. I am forgotten, cut off from your care.
Isaiah 9:6
- For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on his shoulders. These will be his royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the LORD Almighty will guarantee this!
Matthew 26:24
- For I, the Son of Man, must die, as the Scriptures declared long ago. But how terrible it will be for my betrayer. Far better for him if he had never been born!"
